What it’s about:

Meant to Be Mine brings us back to the Porter clan that we (if you read it first, and you should ๐Ÿ™‚ that’s just my humble my opinion) fell in love with in Undeniably Yours. This time we got to find more about the charismatic Ty Porter.

Celia Park falls hard and fast for the charming Ty Porter back in high school and when she has a chance at a romantic fling after college with him, she jumped at the chance! After a hasty Vegas wedding, Ty breaks her heart but never divorces her.

Now over five years later, Ty wants to make amends and finally sign on the dotted line for a divorce…. only to be shocked to find he has a 5 year old daughter and Celia mesmerizes him like no other. He still feels he will marry the woman he left Celia because of, but finds himself proving to Celia that she can indeed trust him. But can she?

My Thoughts:

Just let me bask in the wonderfulness of this book for a moment.

… …. ….. …..

No, wait, still basking. ๐Ÿ™‚ Ok, I might bask all summer in this perfect read!

This book made my heart race, tied my stomach up in knots and made me laugh out loud so many times! I truly loved it and it has a space on my keeper shelf. I loved the inclusion of characters from Undeniably Mine, so I would recommend to read them in order but the story line itself would be easy to follow even if you haven’t, I do believe. Ty was a fallen man who was not perfect but still tried so hard, he was truly worth falling in love with. I could relate with Celia’s character so much as a single mom where I think Becky Wade nailed her characterization. The story itself brought some pretty crazy things (Vegas wedding and another big move that I won’t spoil for readers) to the table, but made them so believable that this book was just pure fun for me and what I love about Christian fiction and why I love to read.

I give this book 5 out 5 stars and cannot wait for the next book in this series to come out!

I received this book from Bethany House/Baker Publishing Group in exchange for my honest review.

About the author:

During her childhood in California, Becky frequently produced homemade plays starring her sisters, friends, and cousins. These plays almost always featured a heroine, a prince, and a love story with a happy ending. She’s been a fan of all things romantic ever since.

Becky and her husband lived overseas in the Caribbean and Australia before settling in Dallas, Texas. It was during her years abroad that Becky’s passion for reading turned into a passion for writing. She published three historical romances with Avon Books, then put her career on hold for several years to care for her kids, then recently returned to writing sheerly for the love of it. She felt led to move to the genre of contemporary Christian romance and couldn’t be more thrilled with it.

These days Becky can be found failing but trying to keep up with her housework, sweating at the gym, carting her kids around town, playing tennis, hunched over her computer, eating chocolate, or collapsed on the sofa watching TV with her husband.
